The Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park invites all members to celebrate Membership Appreciation Day this Saturday, August 13.
In conjunction with the Pollinator Party, which celebrates pollinators like bees, butterflies, and bats that are an important part of our ecosystem, additional events are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the Park’s members. There will be family activities in the Darrald Harsh Wildlife Education Center at the Pawnee Creek Trailhead and Visitor Center, as well as wild animal encounters with American black bears, gray wolves, American white pelicans and bald eagles. You can find Saturday’s schedule of events included with this press release and at WildlifeSafariPark.com/Events.
“All of us at Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park are extremely grateful to the community for supporting us through the ups and downs of the past couple years. We also have been honored to be repeatedly voted as the Best Safari Park in the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards,” said Gary Pettit, superintendent of Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park. “The unwavering support of our members allows the Park to provide great care for our animals, while maintaining our dedication to conservation.” Pettit concluded, “We hope that our members feel appreciated every day but will feel extra special this Saturday.”
Members should bring their Lee G. Simmons membership card and photo ID to participate in any of the activities, animal experiences, and special discounts. The Wildlife Safari Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Wildlife Safari Park is committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, animals, and employees, and will make changes as needed based on actual operating conditions and guidance from public health experts and elected officials.
