Join us for a Family Adventure! Go outside to explore the Nebraska Ecosystem at the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park. Discover wildlife, connect with families and create new memories. The classes are planned for families with children ages 3-9.
Owls are known for "turning heads" with their unique adaptations. Take flight with us for a lesson on what helps them thrive at night and experiment with owl pellets like a scientist. Pellets can tell us more about the owl, the ecosystems in which they live and what they've eaten, so we can learn more about their diet and place in the food web.
Due to funds from the Watchable Wildlife Grant, through the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Wildlife Safari Park is proud to present a special aspect of nocturnal wildlife education to all our Education programs. During your some of Education programs, Education instructors will be inserting Night Watch Education Program activities for all to enjoy. We might be creek walking, night viewing, or tracking white-tailed deer. Our trail camera will be recording species that visit our creek so that we can playback recordings and look at all the migratory animal in our area. Join us for this unique program and discover Nebraska at Night.
Come join us as we discover and practice adventurous outdoor skills or be creative with paints, pencils, and clay in the Darrald Harsh Wildlife Education Center at the Pawnee Creek Trailhead.
