Join us at Lee G Simmons Conservation and Wildlife Safari Park for special opportunities to photograph Park wildlife in winter. Mike Benkis will present tips on how to get the best Ealge photograph, winter feeding and photography ethics and editing techniques. Class also includes an Eagle conservation talk by one of the Wildlife Safari Park Keepers.
Registration is required for this event. Fee is $25 per person ($30 non-member). The Wildlife Safari Park is closed during winter so access to certain parts of the park as well as animals is limited. This workshop is held outdoors. Appropriate dress is a must.
Who is this workshop for? This workshop is geared toward photographers who have a basic understanding of their equipment. The focus will be on the opportunity to photograph with some advice and tricks offered from our professional photographer. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to attend solo.
What camera equipment do I bring? Bring your telephoto lens for the best shooting. Bring extra batteries due to cold temperatures (keep them in a warm pocket). A monopod or tripod is helpful when using long lenses.
Discover and practice adventurous outdoor skills, such as beginning camping, nature photography, citizen science, nature art and astronomy.
These two-hour classes cost $10 for Wildlife Safari Park members and $13 for non-members. Open to all ages. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies are provided with the exception of cameras.
Pre-registration is required. Offered to ages 4 or older unless noted otherwise.
