Discover and practice adventurous outdoor skills, such as beginning camping, nature photography, citizen science, nature art and astronomy.
These two-hour classes cost $10 for Wildlife Safari Park members and $13 for non-members. Open to all ages. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies are provided with the exception of cameras.
Pre-registration is required. Offered to ages 4 or older unless noted otherwise.

Telescopes and Prairie Skies - Moon Gazing
Wildlife Safari Park Education Staff and Omaha Astronomical Scoeity members eill teach you how to use a telescope and spot constellations at the nighttime event. Activites will take place from 8-10 p.m. to take advantage of the night sky in the prairie. Pre-registration is requested.
Monarch Tagging on the Prairie
Be a part of Citizen Science and help Wildlife Safari Park Education Staff tag migrating monarch butterflies as they return to Mexico for the winter. Fun for all ages and a true learning experience that you can take to your own backyards for the coming years. Staff will be tagging from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the event is free with paid admission or Wildlife Safari Park membership. No registration is necessary.
Family Photography Experience - One with the Trees
How hard can trees be to photography? Well come and learn the secrets to a perfect picture of our green friends. Class open to all ages. Youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies provided exept please provide your own camera and equipment. This is an outdoor activity so please dress appropriately. This is also a rain or shine event. Class is held 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost is $10 for members and $13 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.
Nurture your young child's love for wildlife and the great outdoors with Wildlife Safari Park's newest Early Learning Kids Klub (E.L.K. Klub). The E.L.K.Klub uses the Park as a classroom to encourage young children ages 3 to 4 years old to investigate, play, and learn about Nebraska native wildlife through hands-on activities and exploration.
Programs are for children ages 3-4 years old. All classes are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at our Education Base Camp near Wolf Woods and our Pawnee Creek Trailhead Parking Lot. Pre-registration and payment of $13 per child per session is required. An adult must accompany the participant. The registration cost covers one adult and one child. Prices reflect the discount member rate.
