This year we would like to share the Wildlife Safari Park with our campers through Summer Day Camps! Our Camps are designed by trained education professionals who bring many years of experience, along with a dedicated passion for providing a unique STEM learning environment for your camper. Summer 2023 is loaded with interactive educational experiences, tours, animal encounters, and more. Campers must fall within their age groups by the first day of camp. Sack lunch and refillable water bottle are required. Camps run five days a week from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Parents will be required to transport their camper to the Lee Simons Wildlife Safari Park

Saturday, April 1, 2023 – Flock & Focus on Sandhill Cranes Photography Class (18 yrs. and up)
Can’t get enough of Sandhill Cranes? Been to Western Nebraska and saw and heard all 600,000 migratory birds as they flew across the Great Plains? Want More? The Wildlife Safari Park has Sandhill Cranes in residence year-round that can provide photographers with the best opportunities for candid photos without thousands of people moving into your field of view. Educational staff will be on hand to answer conservation questions and talk about ways to improve sustainability in your area.

Saturday, April 22, 2023 – Predators on the Prairie (18 yrs. and up)
Get early access to the Wildlife Safari Park to join Professional Photographer Mike Benkis for a morning of Predators on the Prairie. Bring your coffee, tea or hot chocolate and enjoy the quiet sounds as we watch the behavior of the bobcats, foxes, and wolves. Plus learn about their conservation as well as some camera techniques from Mike. Class is from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

Saturday, October 21, 2023 – Sunrise Elk (18 yrs. and up)
Watch the Elk as they meander across the plains and bugle in the early morning hours at the Wildlife Safari Park. Join Professional Photographer Mike Benkis for a morning of sunrise and Elk above Ashland, Nebraska's rolling landscape. Bring your coffee, tea or hot chocolate and enjoy the quiet sounds as we watch the behavior of the herd and learn about their conservation as well as some camera techniques from Mike. Class is from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

Nurture your young child's love for wildlife and the great outdoors with Wildlife Safari Park's newest
Early Learning Kids Klub (E.L.K. Klub). The
E.L.K. Klub uses the Park as a classroom to encourage young children ages 3 to 4 years old to investigate, play, and learn about Nebraska native wildlife through hands-on activities and exploration.
Programs are for children ages 3-4 years old. Classes are held on one Saturday each month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30

a.m. at our Darrald Harsh Education Center near Wolf Woods and Pawnee Creek Trailhead Parking Lot. Pre-registration and payment of $13 for members or $15 for non-members is required. The registration cost covers one adult and one child, and an adult must accompany the child.

Due to funds from the Watchable Wildlife Grant, through the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Wildlife Safari Park is proud to present a special aspect of nocturnal wildlife education to all our Education programs. During your some of Education programs, Education instructors will be inserting Night Watch Education Program activities for all to enjoy. We might be creek walking, night viewing, or tracking white-tailed deer. Our trail camera will be recording species that visit our creek so that we can playback recordings and look at all the migratory animal in our area. Join us for this unique program and discover Nebraska at Night.
Come join us as we discover and practice adventurous outdoor skills or be creative with paints, pencils, and clay in the Darrald Harsh Wildlife Education Center at the Pawnee Creek Trailhead. Pop-up classes will take place during normal business hours. Classes will take place at random and cost as low as $2 per person to cover supplies. Be sure to check the bulletin board as you drive through the area for any classes being offered the day you're here. All ages are welcome. Youth must be accompanied by adults. No registration is required. Just POP in for a fun time!
